AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY, A CURATORS’ COUNCIL MEETING WAS HELD ON THE TOPIC “LAW AND ORDER: THE FOUNDATIONS OF CONSCIOUS THINKING AND CIVIC RESPONSIBILITY”
At Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, as part of promoting the principles of “Law and Order” implemented in the Republic of Kazakhstan, an extended curators’ council of academic groups was held. The main goal of the event was to enhance the professional competence of curators in educational work, foster the legal culture of students, and strengthen systematic efforts to prevent violations of the law.
The council opened with a welcoming speech by the university’s Vice-Rector for Educational and Social Work, Zhanetta Kalimoldina. In her address, she noted that the principles of “Law and Order” are one of the key directions in youth education, and that fostering legal awareness and civic responsibility is an important task for higher education institutions. She also emphasized that only a harmonious combination of conscious thinking and moral values allows the development of responsible citizens who respect the law.
The event was attended by curators from the Higher School of IT and Natural Sciences, the Higher School of Pedagogy, the Higher School of Humanities, the Higher School of Business and Law, as well as the Higher College.
During the council, issues regarding the prevention of offenses among youth, the creation of a safe educational environment, and the strengthening of legal culture were thoroughly discussed. Zhandos Muztauov, an investigator for especially important cases at the Department of Organizational and Control Work of the Economic Investigations Department in East Kazakhstan, gave an informative report on the most common types of online fraud, the social consequences of gambling addiction, and digital security issues, highlighting the importance of strengthening preventive measures among students. He noted that improving financial and digital literacy among youth plays a crucial role in preventing violations.
In addition, district inspector Beibit Iksanov and inspector of the Juvenile Affairs Inspectorate Amangeldy Daribaev conducted explanatory work on mechanisms for preventing violations, effective ways to organize preventive activities, and the legal foundations for maintaining order in educational institutions. The speakers paid special attention to the responsibility of curators in educational work with students and shared practical recommendations.
At the conclusion of the council, specific proposals were adopted to ensure student safety, systematically develop legal culture, and regularly organize preventive measures aimed at strengthening spiritual and moral values. This event became an important step in implementing the principles of “Law and Order” at the university and in fostering conscious, responsible youth with a high level of legal culture.
