As part of the extended meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan themed “Higher Education and Science: The Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence”, a number of significant events were organized and successfully held at a high level.
The meeting featured speeches by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, and Vice Minister Gulzat Kobenova. In their addresses, they outlined key priorities for the development of higher education and science, the systematic implementation of digitalization processes, and emphasized the importance of integrating artificial intelligence technologies into education and scientific research. The event also included a substantive exchange of views among representatives of the scientific community, higher education institutions, and industry.
According to the program, an exhibition of scientific projects was organized, within the framework of which a working meeting was held. In addition, the working meeting continued, while the exhibition of scientific projects operated throughout the day. The exhibition showcased research developments by domestic scientists and young researchers, attracting strong interest from participants.
As part of the extended board meeting, a ceremonial opening of the “Qanysh Alemi” Center took place. This center began its activities as an important scientific and innovation platform aimed at advancing science, supporting innovative projects, and strengthening the potential of young scientists.
The large-scale event also saw active participation from Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, which presented its scientific potential. At the scientific projects exhibition, the university showcased a project on the commercialization of composite filtering materials for water purification. The project leader is Tilek Kuanyshbekov.
Within the framework of the project, a technology for the production and commercialization of filtration systems based on modified carbon materials and graphene oxide has been developed, aimed at providing the population with high-quality drinking water. This scientific solution makes a tangible contribution to the efficient use of water resources, improving environmental safety, and developing regional infrastructure.
Amanzholov University consistently prioritizes the development of science, support for innovative projects, and the implementation of research results in industry. Going forward, the university will continue to provide comprehensive support for significant scientific initiatives.
