ANOTHER ACHIEVEMENT BY STUDENTS OF AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

Today, Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University held an award ceremony honoring volunteers—first-year students of the general education program “History and Social Studies” who have actively distinguished themselves in volunteer activities.

The event was held with the participation of the East Kazakhstan branch of the Red Crescent Society of the Republic of Kazakhstan—the country’s largest humanitarian organization and a member of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. Together with the branch director, Sholpan Kassenova, a series of activities was implemented, focusing on the introduction of international humanitarian law standards and the practical work of the Red Crescent Society. In addition, a seminar-training session dedicated to International Volunteer Day was conducted, along with first aid training classes.

As part of the event, the results of a national video contest were announced. The contest aimed to raise awareness of the activities of the Red Crescent Society of the Republic of Kazakhstan and its fundamental humanitarian principles. According to the results, the “Geneva” team—students of Amanzholov University—won an honorable second place.

All participants were expressed gratitude for their contribution to the promotion of humanistic values and the development of the volunteer movement.

The event once again confirmed that Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University plays an important role in educating socially responsible, proactive, and caring young people who are ready to contribute to the development of society.
