Speaking at the 5th National Kurultai, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized:
“Тaza Qazaqstan is not a one-time campaign; it is a way of life for every citizen.” This initiative is aimed at fostering an environmental culture and increasing responsibility for the environment across the country.
Supporting this position, Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University launched a Cleanliness Week titled “A Clean Classroom — A Space for New Ideas” from January 26 to 30, 2026. The main goal of the week is to strengthen a culture of cleanliness among students and staff, create a favorable and safe educational environment, and enhance collective responsibility.
On the first day of the Cleanliness Week, sanitary and cleaning activities were organized in the first, second, and ninth academic buildings of the university. Classrooms, laboratories, corridors, and public areas were cleaned and put in order, and the aesthetic appearance of the educational environment was improved. University staff and students actively participated in the event, demonstrating an example of unity and teamwork.
This initiative is aimed not only at maintaining cleanliness within the educational institution, but also at fostering such important values as neatness, discipline, and a responsible attitude toward the environment. A clean and comfortable environment is a solid foundation for quality education, new ideas, and creative exploration.
As part of the Cleanliness Week, further cleaning activities in academic buildings are planned in the coming days, along with awareness-raising events on compliance with sanitary standards and the implementation of initiatives aimed at promoting environmental culture.
