AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY SCHOLAR BECOMES WINNER OF THE “TÁUELSİZDİK ÚRPAQTARY” GRANT

The grant “Tәuelsіzdіk Úrpaqtary”, initiated by the Head of State, has been supporting talented youth since 2021 and helping to implement new ideas and significant initiatives. During the program’s implementation, 123 young people have had the opportunity to bring their projects to life.

On January 22, 2026, a ceremonial award event for the grant winners was held in Astana: 30 authors of the best projects from across the country received certificates for funding of 3 million tenge each. Addressing the laureates, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan — Minister of Culture and Information, Aida Balaeva, emphasized the importance of systematic support for youth as one of the priorities of state policy.

A particular source of pride for the East Kazakhstan region is that among the winners was a representative of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University: Leading Researcher of the Research Center “Surface Engineering and Tribology,” PhD Dastan Buiktenov. He became the recipient of the grant in the field of Science, confirming the high level of the university’s scientific potential and the competitiveness of its research at the national level.

This victory is not only a personal achievement but also a vivid demonstration that Amanzholov University consistently strengthens its scientific schools, supports young researchers, and develops applied research in demand by the economy and society. The university will continue to systematically foster the growth of the scientific community, expanding its contribution to regional development and the strengthening of the country’s intellectual capital.
