AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY, DOUBLE DEGREE PROGRAMS IN THE 2+2 FORMAT ARE BEING LAUNCHED

In order to develop international academic cooperation and improve the quality of higher education, Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, together with the Tajik International University of Foreign Languages named after Sotim Ulugzoda (Republic of Tajikistan), plans to launch double degree programs in the 2+2 format at the bachelor’s level.

Within this format, students will spend the first two years of study in Kazakhstan at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, and the following two years will be completed at the partner foreign higher education institution. Graduates who successfully complete the educational program and meet all academic requirements will have the opportunity to receive diplomas from both universities simultaneously.

The new double degree programs will be offered in the following fields of study: “Foreign Language (English),” and “Russian Language and Literature.”

The development and implementation of the programs are being carried out by the Department of Kazakh and Russian Philology and Journalism, as well as the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation at EKU. For this purpose, a special working group was created to coordinate curricula, harmonize course content, organize academic mobility, and approve student selection requirements.

This initiative provides students with broad opportunities to study in an international academic environment, gain foreign educational experience, and enhance their professional and language competencies. In addition, holders of a double degree will be in demand in the labor market as competitive specialists.

Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University intends to continue strengthening cooperation with leading foreign higher education institutions and systematically advance the internationalization of its educational programs.
