SPARTAKIAD 2026: TUG OF WAR

As part of the annual Spartakiad, tug of war competitions were held at Amanzholov University.

A total of 10 teams took part in the competitions, each demonstrating strong teamwork and unity.

The judging was entrusted to Alexander Agafonov, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Initial Military Training.

“Tug of war not only develops physical strength, agility, and the ability to stand firmly on one’s feet, but also fosters team spirit. Such events play an important role in promoting a healthy lifestyle,” the judge noted.

According to the results of the team competition, first place was won by the Rectorate. Coordinated actions, proper distribution of strength, and effective tug of war technique became the key factors of success. Second place was taken by the Higher College, and third place by the Higher School of Pedagogy.
